Mr. Kirby Lee Sweatt passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Scotland Memorial Hospital after an illness. He was 61 years old.

Kirby was born in Marlboro County, SC on February 18, 1960, to Mrs. Lydia Clark Sweatt and the late Ernest Sweatt Sr. He attended McColl Church of God. He worked for the Beautification Department for the Town of McColl. He loved drinking coffee, fishing, smoking cigarettes, talking junk to people, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his; mother, Lydia Clark Sweatt; brothers, Ernest Sweatt (Bessie) of McColl, SC and Billy Sweatt (Ella) of McColl, SC; sisters, Pauline Jordan (Charles) of Monroe, NC, Betty Sweatt of Monroe, NC, Margaret Ovino of McColl, SC, Sylvia Hatcher of McColl, SC, Crystal Sweatt (James) of McColl, SC, And Tammy Wilson (Charles) of McColl, SC; nephews, Terry Sweatt, Christopher Sweatt (Tracey), Billy Sweatt Jr. (Terri), Billy Stevens, Ricky Hatcher (Amanda), Ronnie Hatcher (Daphne), Brad Sweatt, James Sweatt, Keith Sweatt (Reva),  and Christopher Wilson (Latisha); nieces, Lorie Pierce (Keith), Deborah Hunt (Wilbert), Melissa Sweatt (Derrick), Sharon Bullard, Lydia Lowery (Keith), Shannon Deputy (Jason), Chelsea Ovino (Darnell), Pamela Duncan (Hilton), Amy Hatcher, Gail Sweatt, and Paula Sweatt; 52 great nieces and nephews and a host of great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father listed above; nephew Buddy Lee Sweatt, Jerry Ray Sweatt, Cameron Baxley; nieces, Samiya Hatcher.

A graveside service will be held 2pm, Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Rogers Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Donald Deal. A visitation will be held from 1-145pm at Rogers Funeral Home.
