Lawrence Junior Clark, age 62 of McColl, departed this world on Saturday, July 22, 2023, after a sudden illness with his family and friends at his bedside.
Lawrence was born in Marlboro County on February 21, 1961. He was a son of the late Prince and Missouri Johnson Clark. Lawrence was the youngest son of nine children. Lawrence was a loving, dedicated brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. His passion was fishing with his best friend, and brother-in-law Buddy. He enjoyed taking care of his animals and spending time with his family and friends. Lawrence loved to watch wrestling, kung-fu, and western movies. He loved to laugh and joke. Lawrence never met a stranger. He would go above and beyond to help anybody in need. He was a man of few words, but always took the time to make sure everyone else was ok. He proudly cared for his mother, Missouri, until she departed this life.
In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by a brother, John Prentiss Clark; sisters, Elaina Clark, Flora Margaret Clark, Katie Lee Clark, and Missouri Jane Clark; nieces, Janet Clark and Stephanie Clark; nephews, James Gilbert Clark, Gilbert James Clark, Jessie Lee Clark, and James Edward Clark.
