Leroy Dale Clapper, 76, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020 at his residence in San Antonio, TX.

Born January 6, 1944 in Spokane, Washington to the late Calvin W. and Loretta Marjorie Frey Clapper. Leroy served his country faithfully in the U.S. Amy and was a truck driver for many years. He was married to the late JoAnn Johnson Clapper. Leroy enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, the Washington Redskins play football but most of all he loved spending time with his family and his four-legged companion “Bud”.

Leroy leaves behind to cherish his memory, son, John Clapper (Dawn Cruz) of San Antonio, TX; daughters, Judy Clapper (Tommy Moczygemba) of San Antonio, TX., Tammy Gonzales (Roque Gonzales) of San Antonio, TX; brother, Wade Clapper (Grace) of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Linda Culpepper of San Antonio, TX; mother in law, Leona Scott Johnson of McColl; sister in law, Brenda Johnson, of McColl; grandchildren, Eric Gonzales, Johnathan Gonzales, Maria Gonzales, Kyle Clapper and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife listed above.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Rogers Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Roger Williams.
