Mr. Lonnie Eugene Alford passed away Friday, October 8, 2021, at his residence after an illness. He was 79 years old.

Lonnie was born in McColl, SC on February 11, 1942, to the late Samuel Thurman and Agnes Graham Alford. He was a member of the United States National Guard. He worked in the textile industry, working for Morgan & Jones, JP Stevens, and Springs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his; son, Larry E. Alford; daughters, Yvonne Lohmeyer (Bob) and Renee Pelt; brothers, Tony Alford (Jackie) and Terry Alford (Wanda); 17 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above; wife, Barbara G. Alford; son, Jerome Kirkley Alford; sister, Vivian Stevens.

A graveside service will be held 11am, Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Rogers Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
