Margaret Frances (Davis) Ransom

McColl, SC Margaret Frances Davis Ransom, 91, of McColl, SC passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021 after an illness. She was born June 4, 1930 in Richmond County, NC a daughter of the late Everette Davis and Mable Terry Davis. Frances was affectionately known as Nannie Frannie. She attended several churches in McColl and retired after working 46 years with JP Stevens. Frances enjoyed sitting on the porch, flowers and most of all she loved being surrounded by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Everette and Mable Davis; her husband, Haywood Bradley “H.B.” Ransom; a son, Richard Davis; a daughter, Diane Jernigan; a brother, John Winston “J.W.” Davis; two sisters, Mary Hudson and Janie Snipes; and a grandson Jamie Jernigan.

Frances is survived by her son, William Ransom (Annette) of McColl; four daughters, Carol Coleman (Cecil), Lisa Jones, Janice Jones (Wayne), and Edna Britt (Lewis) all of McColl; a sister, Jean Farris of Hamlet, NC; a special friend, Johnny Jones of McColl; eighteen grandchildren and thirty-nine great-grandchildren; one great- great-grandchild, Cooper Caulder.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Rogers Funeral Home and other times at the home of Janice Jones – 101 Pine St., McColl, SC 29570.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Rogers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rogers Cemetery.
