Mrs. Martha Arline Mauney Outlaw, widow of Charles H. Outlaw, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Lancaster Convalescent Center. She was 79 years old.
Mrs. Outlaw was born in McColl, SC on October 27, 1939 to the late Clarence and Lillie Burroughs Mauney. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in McColl. She was a former Telephone Engineering Operator for Southern Bell. Mrs. Outlaw enjoyed working in her church, where she worked in the choir, taught Sunday School, and drove the church van to pickup people for church. She also, loved writing poems for family and friends.
Mrs. Outlaw was preceded in death by her parents and husband listed above; daughter, Susan Outlaw Garner; brother, Warren Kenneth Mauney.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; son, Michael Knight (Carla) of Camden, SC; daughter, Ellen Hill (Keith) of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Adam Hill, Mary Keith Hill, and Garrett Garner; great grandchildren, Haley Garner and Braycen Garner.
A funeral service will be held 12:30 pm Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Eastside Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Roger Williams, with a private burial at Adamsville Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 11-12:30 just prior to the service at the church.
