Mary (Chavis) Driggers

Mary Chavis Driggers, widow of Lynn P. Driggers, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, after an illness. She was 79 years old.

She was born on May 19, 1945, to the late Reedy and Rose Lee Cummings Chavis. She enjoyed cooking, eating, gardening, playing cards, watching Jean-Claude Van Dam, spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; sons, Charles Driggers, Lynn Driggers (Diantha), and Lincoln Driggers (Brandy); daughter, Carol “Coot” Driggers; brothers, Danny Lee Chavis and Lawrence “L.W” Chavis; sister, Carolyn Chavis; 11 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband listed above; daughter, Sheila Lee Driggers; granddaughter, Cassandra White; brothers, Leroy Chavis and Daniel Chavis; sister, Shirley Locklear; daughter-in-law, Renee Driggers.

A funeral service will be held at 3pm, Monday, August 26, 2024, at Rogers Funeral Home, followed by burial at Pee dee Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Clio. A visitation will be held from 2-3 pm just prior to the service.
