Mrs. Mary Lillian Ward Scott, widow of Donald Nelson Scott, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020 after an illness at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, NC. She was 73 years old.

Mrs. Mary was born on June 29, 1947 in McColl to the late Floyd Devon and Easter Mae Allen Ward. She was a member of McColl Church of God. She was a machine operator for United Technologies. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, and reading her Bible.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; daughters, Lynn White (Michael) of McColl, Brenda Barfield (Stevie) of McColl, Mary Ann Scott of Laurinburg, NC, and Kathy Taylor (Tony) of Hartsville; brothers, Paul Richard Ward (Cathy), Jack Dean Ward (Linda), and Tony Wayne Ward; sisters, Linda Faye Quick (Ralph), Dorothy Britt (Tracy J.), Patricia Lockey, and Margaret Ward; grandchildren, Sierra Locklear, Brian Barfield, Tia Whitewater, Brett Matthews Scott, and Tanner Bowers; great grandchildren, Diego Scott, Seqouia Wright, Kierrah Wright, Jace Shepherd, Ashton Smith, and Bailey Parrish.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband listed above; grandchildren, Donna Scott and John Michael White; brother in law, Tommy Scott; nieces, Bridgette Ward and Tammy Lockey; nephews, Timothy Lockey and Wilbert “Buck” Lockey.

A graveside service will be held 11 am, Friday July 24, 2020, at Rogers Cemetery, officiated by Revs. Roger Williams and Donald Deal.
