Mary Virginia “Gin” Scott Quick passed away, Saturday, May 4, 2024, at her residence after an illness. She was 67 years old.
Gin was born in Bennettsville, SC on October 1, 1956, to the late Son Edward and Ada Caulder Scott. She was a machine operator by trade. She loved fishing, gardening, especially working in her flower beds.
She is survived by her; daughters Cornelius “Nay” Clark and Anna Hinson both of McColl; son, Ell Quick of McColl; brothers, Howard (Andrea) Scott of McColl and Edward (Phyllis) Scott of Asheboro, NC; sister, Shirley McDowell of McColl, Linda Herring of Bennettsville, Hilda (Larry) Deese of McColl, Jan Scott of McColl, and Mattie (Pete) Caulder of McColl; grandchildren, Allen Clark, Rosell Quick, and Austin Leviner; great grandchildren, Gabby Mariano, Logan Huggins, Chaslyn Clark, Asher Leviner, Arieana Jacobs, and Alaiya Jacobs; a host of nieces and nephews.
Gin was preceded in death by her parents listed above and brothers, Willam Scott and James Scott.
A memorial service will be held at 6 pm, Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Rogers Funeral Home, officiated by Revs. Donald Deal and Jeff Hunt.
A visitation will be held from 5-6pm just prior to the service.
