Mrs. Nancy Carol Bethea Lewellen, widow, of Fred “Freddie” Lester Lewellen, passed away, Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC, after an illness. She was 75 years old.
Nancy was born in the Brightsville Community of Marlboro County, SC on November 24, 1946, to the late Leondas Graham and Nannie B. Bethea. She worked in the Deli for Carl’s Food, and never met a stranger, she was also a homemaker. She was a devoted wife of over 40 years. She especially was a great mother and loved her family. She loved her cats and dogs and always had pets; ducks, chickens, opossums, and any other wild animals. She loved to cook, work in the yard, and enjoyed gardening
She is survived by her son, Frankie Garner.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband listed above; brothers, LG Bethea and Charles Bethea.
A graveside service will be held 2pm, Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Beaverdam Cemetery in McColl, SC.
