Patricia Ann (Mumford) Scott

McColl, SC Patricia Ann Mumford Scott passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023, at her residence. She was 77 years old.

Born in Bennettsville, Patricia was a daughter of the late Thomas A. Sr. and Reva Clark Mumford. She was a member of Piney Plain Free Will Baptist Church and a retired Library Assistant with McColl Elementary School.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jackie Ronald Scott; grandson, Adam Lightsinger; son-in-law, Billy C. Lightsinger; great grandson, Robin Anthony Rosser; brothers, E.J. Mumford and Thomas “Buck” Mumford, Jr.; and sister, Margaret Bailey.

She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Scott Lightsinger and Pam Scott Grooms (Rev. Sampson “Bo”), both of McColl; sister, Faye Williams of Bennettsville; grandchildren, Crystal Grooms Hope, Brittany Grooms Lyndsey Lightsinger; great grandchildren, Garrett Rosser, Jalen Sanders, Jayce Butler, Kierston Grooms, Kyrie Grooms, Kambree Hodge, and sisters-in-law, Bobbie Coon and Maxine McElveen.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Piney Plain Free Will Baptist Church, followed by interment in Rogers Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at the church.
