Patricia "Patsy" Rose (Burroughs) Barfield

Patricia “Patsy” Rose Burroughs Barfield passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg. She was 70 years old.

Born July 7, 1952, Patsy was a daughter of the late Clarence and Ruby Fender Burroughs. She was a retired city clerk with the town of McColl and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Patsy enjoyed shagging, spending time at the beach, gardening and having beautiful flowers, going to yard sales and shopping. She also really enjoyed talking and spending time with people, especially her beloved family.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; husband, Fairley Barfield; infant brother, Lawrence E. Burroughs, and sister, Margaret Burroughs.

She is survived by her son, Patrick Barfield (Nicole) of Rowland, NC; daughters, Ashley and Alison Barfield of McColl, SC; sister, Gwen Marcum (Troy) of McColl, SC; grandchildren, Miranda, Morgan, Patrick Jr. “P.J.”, Jordan, Dakota, Harley, and Raven; great grandchildren, Sha’Nyla, Lannon, Jayse, and Marcus Jr.; and special family members, Rodney Marcum, Dee Marcum, John A. Nicholson, and Katina Sammons; special caregiver, Annie Jane Gray; and other beloved family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Eastside Baptist Church in McColl, with burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service at the church.
