Mrs. Patsy Ann Williams Haithcock, age 78, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Scotland Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Patsy was born July 14, 1944, in Bennettsville, SC to the late Jim and Ina Brigman Williams. She was a graduate from McColl High School’s class of 1963. Patsy worked for 9 years with Marlboro County Adult Ed and Evans Correctional Facility as a literacy tutor. She was a devoted member of McColl Church of God for over 25 years and served as a Sunday School teacher, secretary and treasurer of the Sanctuary class and ½ leader of the Blue Bells. Patsy loved reading her Bible, helping others, cooking, and gospel music. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents listed above, husband, Charles Leary “Rooster” Haithcock; son, Stephen Charles Haithcock; brothers, Bobbie Lee Williams and James Williams; and sister, Joann Hodge.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, grandchildren, Courtney Freeman of McColl, Brandi Haithcock of Bennettsville and Shannon Alford (TJ) of Bennettsville; great grandchildren, Destiney Douglas of McColl, Aaliyah Peques of McColl; sisters, Charlie Mae Gardner (John) of Tatum, Betty Daniels of Bennettsville, Rosa Rohrer (Ken) of Conway and a brother, Ray Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at McColl Church of God, with burial to follow in Rogers Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at McColl Church of God.
