Ralph LeRoy Voegtlin, Sr. age 85 of McColl, SC, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, at his residence.
Ralph was born July 2, 1937, in St. Louis, Mo. He was one of seventeen children born to the late Reinhardt Voegtlin, III and Grace Stroder Voegtlin. Ralph worked many years in the construction business. He was also a talented artist. Ralph has a picture hanging in the St. Louis Museum of Art. Ralph loved being on the river and working on boats. He also liked to have fun with family and friends. Ralph was a sports fan who loved the Rams in football and the Cardinals in baseball. Most of all, Ralph enjoyed being with his family.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Voegtlin, Jr.; a daughter, Kimberly Gail Voegtlin; a grandson, Ralph Voegtlin, III; and all sixteen of his siblings.
Ralph is survived by his companion, Melissa Roscoe of the home; a daughter, Jessie Voegtlin (Andrew Barfield) of the home and Aundrea Voegtlin of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren, Jaden Goins and Jullian Brown; a great grandchild, Ralph LeRoy Voegtlin, IV; and several extended family members.
