Ricky Hinson Goins, Sr.

Ricky Hinson Goins, Sr, age 59 of McColl, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, at his residence.

Ricky was born on January 27, 1966, in McColl. He was a son of the late Willie H. and Louise Harrelson Goins. Ricky enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, and playing video games. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and always enjoyed a good, homecooked meal. Most of all, Ricky loved the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Ann Brigman.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Amanda Driggers Goins of Summerville; a son, Ricky H. Goins, Jr. (Gena) of Laurinburg; a daughter, Lisa Marie Goins of Summerville; a brother, Willie Goins of Gibson, NC; sisters, Barbara Driggers (Douglas) of McColl and Brenda Gail Crowley of Bennettsville; grandchildren, Thomas Bodiford, Annsley Bodiford, Gabriel Blackwell, Charleigh Ann Goins, and Zackery Blackwell; a brother in law, David Brigman of McColl; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.

A church led memorial service to celebrate Ricky’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at East Laurinburg Church of God.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday at The East Laurinburg Church of God from 5:30 p.m.to 6:45 p.m.
