Rosa Ann (Taylor) Hargrove

Rosa Ann Taylor Hargrove, age 61 of Trenton, NC, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, after an extended illness.

Rosa was born July 16, 1962, in Bennettsville, SC. She was a daughter of Victoria Hall Nichols and the late James A. Taylor. Rosa worked many years in home healthcare. She loved fishing, working, eating, and watching racing. Most of all, Rosa loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her father, Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hargrove, Sr.; a son, James Hargrove; and a niece, Candy Marie Purifoy.

Rosa is survived by her sons, Donald Hargrove, Jr of Bennettsville, and Jonathan Hargrove of Cheraw; a brother, Robert Boyle of Wallace; a sister, Denine Taylor of Trenton, NC; grandchildren, Hunter Hargrove, Brandon Hargrove, Hannah Hargrove, and Hailey Hargrove; nieces, Wendy Bishop, Amy Strickland, and Jessica Purifoy; several other extended family members also survive.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Hickory Grove Church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Rogers Funeral Home.
