Rosetta "Rosie" (Bass) Bundy

Rosetta “Rosie” Bass Bundy, age 84 of Clio, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, after an extended illness.

Rosetta was born September 7, 1942, in Gibson, NC. She was a daughter of the late John and Rosie Lee Bass. Rosetta was a member of Ghio Holiness Church, where she enjoyed going to worship. She enjoyed thrifting with her late husband Wayne, and her daughter, Debbie. Rosetta also loved quilting and sewing. She also loved visiting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who she was so proud of.

In addition to her parents, Rosetta was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Wayne Bundy; a son, Johnny Wayne Bundy; brothers, Robert Bass, J.C. Bass, Thurmond Bass, and Leroy Bass; sisters, Maebelle Hammons, Juanita Guinn, Fanny Mae Pettitt, Edna Neece, and Flossie Clark.

Rosetta is survived by her daughter, Debbie Bundy Ellington (Jamie) of Clio; a brother, Floyd Bass of Hamlet; a sister, Florence Norton of Hamlet; grandchildren, Grace Johnson (Aaron) of Providence, N.C., Leah Howell (Jeremiah) of Labelle, FL, Carson Ellington (Morgan) of Whiteville, NC, and Conner Ellington of Providence, NC; great grandchildren, Rosie Johnson, Oliver Johnson, Alaina Howell, and Ezra Howell; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Ghio Holiness Church in Laurel Hill, NC. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, beginning at 1:00 P.M. at Ghio Holiness Church.
