ussell Eugene Williams, age 70 of McColl, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022, after an illness.

Russell was born March 4, 1952, in Bennettsville, SC, and was a son of the late Eugene Bundy and Peggy Parrish Williams. He received an Associate of Applied Science degree from Richmond Technical College. Russell was employed with Bi-Lo for many years and also with Oak River Mills. He was a South Carolina Gamecocks fan. He loved to garden and fish. He also enjoyed playing cards, telling stories, and making people laugh. Most of all, Russell enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Williams, and a sister, Deborah Jean MacNeill.

Russell is survived by his daughter, Michele Lowery (David) of Cheraw; a brother, Tim Williams (Leah) of McColl; grandchildren, Kaylee Wood, Cameron Wood, Bowen Williams, Chase Williams, and Dawson Williams; and other extended family members.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Rogers Cemetery.
