Mrs. Shirley Ann Quick Locklear, 82, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at her residence.
Born December 23, 1937 in McColl to the late Jack and Janie Bell Jordan Quick. Shirley was a member of Leach Creek Church. She worked 20 years as a sewing machine operator with East Coast Umbrella Company in Laurel Hill, NC. Shirley enjoyed DIY projects around the house, she had a green thumb when it came to planting and taking care her plants and flowers, she loved listening to old country music but she loved most of all was her family and friends especially her grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents listed above, husbands, 1st Weldon B. Locklear, 2nd Theo “Pete” Raymond; daughter, Jolinda Lynn Locklear; step-son, Charles Locklear; brothers, Lawrence Quick, Wilbert Quick; sisters, Sarah Lee Quick, Nellie Mae Hatcher and Liz Haywood; granddaughter Tina Locklear.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Ernest Hank Locklear (Barbara); daughters, Louria Locklear Hope (Henry Alexander), Kimberlee Garcia (Tony Fields), step-daughter, JoAnne Locklear; sisters, Martha Quick, Gracie Grooms, Josephine Annette Owens, sister-in-law, Lillie Mae Quick and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Leach Creek Church in Maxton, NC with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Rogers Funeral Home.
