Teressa (Maurer) Locklear

Teressa Maurer Locklear age 68, of McColl, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at her residence.

Teressa was born October 27, 1954, in Bennettsville, SC, a daughter of the late Ray Douglas Clark and Dorothy Jacobs. She was adopted and lovingly raised by George Maurer, Jr. Teressa retired from Hanes/Sara Lee Hosiery after several years of service. She enjoyed cooking and sharing recipes. She also enjoyed traveling and sitting on the porch talking with family and friends. Most of all, Teressa enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Tamara Maurer; and a grandson, Chad Jacobs.

Teressa is survived by her husband, Herman “Cool” Locklear, of the home; sons, Anthony Locklear and Christopher Locklear, both of McColl, and Jerry Jacobs (Ann Marie) of Laurinburg; a daughter, Sheyanne Locklear-Odom (Bradley) of Bennettsville; brother, Doug Clark (Linda) of McColl; grandchildren, Ava Locklear, Hayden Odom, Hunter Odom, Jeremy Jacobs, Raylon Jacobs, Elliana Jacobs, and Jonathan Jacobs; nieces, Salina Maurer and Brianna Barnes; and her dear friend, Maggie Fontez; several other extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at McColl Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow the services at Rogers Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Rogers Funeral Home.
