Mrs. Virginia Lee Turner Allen, 84 years old, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, North Carolina.

Mrs. Virginia was born May 24, 1935 in Scotland county, NC to the late Will and Sallie Williams Turner. She was employed most of her working career with J.P. Stevens but also worked at Klopman in Society Hill and Nic’s Pic in McColl. She was a member of McColl Church of God where she sang in the church choir. Mrs. Virginia enjoyed reading, cooking, working in the yard, crossword puzzles and most of all spending time with friends and family.

Mrs. Virginia leaves behind to cherish her memories, sons, Kenneth Allen (Beth) of McColl, Walter Allen of McColl and Danny Allen of McColl; daughters, Linda Parker of McColl, Julie Mumford of McColl; brothers, Ernest Turner (Violet) of Dillon; sisters, Nell Horne of Dillon and Barbara Jean Johnson of Gastonia, NC.; grandchildren, Kenny Allen, Bryant Allen, Rodney Bryant, Tripp Skipper, Sissy Hollingsworth, Dan Parker, Chris Parker and Lisa Perkins; 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above, husband, Walter Allen; son, Clarence Allen; daughters, infant daughter Judy Ann Allen, Peggy Eastwood; brothers, Grady Turner, Earl Turner, Willie Turner; sisters, Flora Davis and Francis Campbell.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 2, 2019 at McColl Church of God with the Rev. Donald Deal officiating, burial following the funeral service.

A visitation will be held from 1-2 P.M. prior to the funeral service at McColl Church of God.
