Virginia Roller Smith, wife of Percy Smith, passed away at her residence after an illness on Friday, July 26, 2024. She was 72 years old.
Virginia was born on August 25, 1951, in Robeson County, NC to the late Catherine Roller. She attended Pee Dee Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and seasonal farmer. She loved cooking, talking, making people laugh, watching Young & the Restless, she was the life of the party, but most importantly she loved spending time with her family and friends.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory: husband listed above; daughter, Kelly Smith; brothers, Dusty Roller (Vicky) and Walter Charles Roller (Christy); sister, Doris Roller; grandchildren, Selena Rogers (Nick), Shyanne Smith, Kasey Locklear; great grandchildren, Serenity “Tater”, Sayden, Jazmyn, Aliyah, Tristen, Camden, Carter, Khaloni.
She was preceded in death by; her mother listed above; son, Tony Smith; daughter, Kathy Smith; Sister, Patricia “Diane” Roller Radford; brother, Larry “Wahoo” Roller.
A funeral service will be held at 3pm, Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hasty, NC, officiated by Revs. Brian Oxendine and Gary McMillian, with burial in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Monday, July 29, 2024, at Rogers Funeral Home in McColl.
