Mr. Walker Evans Johnson, 82 years old, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, August 28, 2019.

Born January 26, 1937 in Marlboro county to the Late Lonnie Evans & Macie McCall Johnson. Mr. Walker served his country proudly in the Korean War as a member of the S.C. National Guard. He worked as a Machine Operator with Powell Manufacturing for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cutting grass and was a avid South Carolina Gamecock fan but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was a loyal member of the McColl Church of God.

Mr. Walker leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Elizabeth “ Tootsie” Williams Johnson of McColl; a son, Keith Evans Johnson (Tammy) of Bennettsville; a daughter, Gloria Brown of Myrtle Beach, SC; brothers, Henry “Shug” Johnson of McColl, Thurman Johnson of Sugarland, TX. and Jerry Johnson of McColl; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above, a son, Charles Evans Johnson; brothers, James, Ardis, and Howard Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at McColl Church of God with burial to follow at Rogers cemetery.

A visitation will take place from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. on Friday, August 30, 2019 at McColl Church of God.
