Bill Caulder
William Hamer "Bill" Caulder, 92, passed away at Karesh Long Term Care and Rehab on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 surrounded by family. Born in Dillon County, S.C. he was a son of the late Norman and Annie Oxendine Caulder. Bill, husband of the late Dorothy Caulder, was the founder of Caulder Plumbing which he opened in 1962, which he owned and operated until his retirement. Bill has a passion for cars, he enjoyed racing cars, classic cars and collecting cars.
Surviving are his sons, William F. Caulder (Patricia Spradley) of Lugoff, Robert Caulder (Janice Truesdale) of Camden, and David Caulder (Cindy Boan) of Bethune; brother, Charles Caulder (Shirley) of Clio; grandchildren, William Franklin Caulder, Jr. (Jennifer), Jamie Denise Caulder Potteiger (James Edward), Robert Jason Caulder (Stacey), Brandon David Caulder, Abbygail Dawn Caulder; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Cynthia Dawn Caulder; brothers, Harmon Caulder, Norman Haston Caulder; and sisters, Elizabeth Creech, Evadean Chavis and Annie Catherine Bryant.
Funeral services for Bill Caulder will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mel's Chapel Holiness Church Cemetery, Bishopville. The Rev. David Caulder will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
