William Henry Hudson

William Henry Hudson, age 76 of McColl, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, after an extended illness.

Henry was born July 2, 1946, in Bennettsville, SC. He was a son of the late John Carroll, Sr. and Ola Mae Cox Hudson. Henry was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country in Vietnam. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart for his actions in Vietnam. Henry attended the First Baptist Church of McColl. He loved horses, cars, and building engines. Henry never met a stranger. He was always very helpful and enjoyed doing for others. Most of all, Henry was a family man that truly loved spending time with them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Carroll Hudson, Jr.

Henry is survived by his sons, Michael Hudson (Melissa) of McColl and Stephen Hudson of Columbia; a daughter, Shelley Jenkins of Rockingham, NC; a brother, Paul Hudson of McColl; grandchildren, Justin Hudson, Zack Hudson, Vince Hudson, and Kerra Jenkins; and several other extended family members.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Rogers Cemetery in McColl at 1:00 p.m..

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Rogers Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
