Celia "Celi Mae" Locklear Patterson

Celia “Celi Mae”Locklear Patterson of Bennettsville, SC passed away peacefully Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, NC.  She was 65 years old. 

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Berea United Methodist Church with the Rev. Emily Davis officiating.  Burial will follow at Priest Cemetery in the Berea section of McColl.  There will be a time of visitation Monday evening, January 25, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 at Rogers Funeral Home in McColl.

Celia was born September 9th, 1950 to the late Adam Locklear and the late Mary Graves Locklear.  After graduating from Fletcher High School she attended RTI and worked as a legal secretary in Bennettsville for more than 30 years. More recently Celia was a ticket clerk with the Marlboro County Magistrates Office. During her free time she loved planting flowers and watching crime shows on television….when she wasn’t watching Gamecock football.  But it was her grandchildren who were her greatest joy in life.

In addition to her parents Celia was preceded in death by three brothers; Howard Locklear, Stephen Locklear, and Harold Locklear.

To cherish her memory Celia leaves behind a son, Jack Adam Patterson and wife Kimberly of Goldhill, NC; a daughter, Christi Patterson Pope and husband Billy of Fairmont, NC;  a brother, Wilson Locklear and wife Margaret of Cordover, NC; seven grandchildren, as well as a host of friends, neighbors, and loved ones who will miss here deeply.
