This note is in memory of a fine man that our family had the true pleasure of knowing. Gentle and strong, Mr. Jesse gave much to his community and friends. We are all better people for having had him with us. Condolences and love from the Keith Hunsucker family to his family.

We have been out of town and have just heard of Jesse's passing. We are truly sorry we were not able to attend the visitation. Jesse was a most unique character. Whether he was talking about "dis, dat and da other" or "long time jeopardy" he was always the same. Just Jesse. He gave me his old lathe when he decided to "go pro" with his bowl turning and bought a bigger model. I cherished it before, but it will now be even more special in my shop. Jesse was the last to go of my "Big Three" at the old ag building. Ben White, Jack Walker and now Jesse. I hope they are enjoying each other again....talking about " dis, dat and da other."

Mr. Jesse, you were a father figure for me all of my young life. I spent the night at your house many, many times. Although I didn't like the way you jovially would affectionately "spank" Martha to wake her up (since I never have been a morning person!) you were always a kind and good man. I'm so glad that your family has had you all these years! You're back with your sweetheart, "Miss Betty" now... much love and very fond memories of Fletcher Community always...

So very sad for me to learn of Mr. Jessie's death. Just a month ago we had a very nice visit. We had lunch and he gave Richard and me two bowls from a cherry tree that Mr. Jessie and I sawed from our farm. Oh! How I cherish that bowl. He will always be one of my McColl favorite friends and kin.
