Mrs. Dora Betty Ann Johnson, age 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 4, 2017 after a period of declining health.
Born in Castlewood, Virginia, on April 25, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Howard Beavers and Mattie Belcher Beaver. She was a member of Lighthouse Missions Church in Havre De Grace, MD and was a homemaker.
She enjoyed listening to classic country music, watching Cold Case Files, spending time with her family, working seek-and-find puzzles, and flower gardening. She was a mother to anyone and would take you under her wing. She also spent countless hours reforming troubled kids.
She is survived by sons, Billy Joe Johnson, Paul Alvis Lambert and Justin Edgar Perry all of Maryland; daughters, Linda Sue Willey and husband Thomas, Jeanette Ann Gullion and husband Rocky, and Candice lee Perry all of Maryland; sister, Ida Keener and husband John with whom she lived with in Bennettsville, 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by 3 nieces, Jackie Baker of Bennettsville, Sherry Rynes of Branchville, SC and Georgia C. Rynes of Bennettsville; and by 2 nephews, Leonard L. Rynes and wife Thelma of Canton, OH and John B. Keener of Bennettsville.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Rogers Cemetery officiated by Pastor Terry Smith. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. -2:45 P.M. at Rogers Funeral Home prior to the service.
She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; and by 3 brothers, Bobby, Garland and Jimmy Beavers.
