Mrs. Denise Michele Unger Rich, 50, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August, 10, 2015 at McColl Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiated by the Rev. D.J. Byrd.  Burial will follow at Rogers Cemetery in McColl.  A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at McColl Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Born April 5, 1965 in Denville, NJ, she was a daughter of Harold and Sue Tucker Unger.  Mrs. Rich graduated from Coker College with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Psychology.  After graduating from Coker, she worked for the college as a tutor and counselor.  She was a member of the McColl Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she headed the youth group.  Denise was a missionary where she done a lot of work in Nicaragua, where she went two or three times a year for the past six years.  She also worked for Kids Term, counseling children, and loved to cater.

She is survived by her mother, Sue Tucker Unger, and father, Harold Unger both of McColl; her son, Maxwell Rich of McColl; a daughter, Morgean Rich of McColl; a brother, Harold J. Unger, Jr. and wife, Kazuyo of Japan; and a sister, Helen Summerville and husband, Charles of Alaska.

Memorials may be made to the Go Fund Me Account to fund Pan de Vida, a missionary church in Nicargua that was special to Denise.
