Mr. Corrie Anderson McLain, age 70, passed away suddenly, on Monday, February 20, 2017, due to a house fire. 

Born in the Blenheim Township of Marlboro County, SC, on April 19, 1946, he was the son of the late H.C. McLain and Grace Morgan. He was a retired electrician and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. McLain’s hobbies included fishing, collecting Indian Memorabilia, tinkering with his wrist watches, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed listening to classic country music and watching  Hee Haw and old western movies on TV.

He is survived by sons, Danny (Amber) McLain of McColl and Corrie Anderson McLain, Jr.( Jessica) of Freeze, NC; daughters, Christy (Robert) Cade of Columbia SC ; a brother, Jimmy (Millie) McLain of Pamplico, SC; sisters, Debra Hash and Sharon Jackson Martin both of Rockingham, NC; and by 10 grandchildren & 1 great-grandchildren.

The family will have visitation from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Rogers Funeral Home.

Mr. Corrie was preceded in death by his parents listed above;  by brothers Donnie and Tim McLain; and by a granddaughter, Addie Grace McLain.
